CRISTIANA CASADIO - Choreography

Born 1976 Faenza/Italy



Education: 



1986 - 1994 - Rhythmic gymnastic : Italian champion senior (1993) and member of the Italian national team. 

1995 - 1997 - Study of ballet and contemporary dance in the school “Faenz’a danza”



1998 - “Professional Training Course for Young Dancers” at Aterballetto, in Reggio Emilia. Grant to join the company Aterballetto, directed by Mauro Bigonzetti, as a trainee.



1999 - 2000  - Grants at the “Merce Cunningham Studio” and at the ”Peridance Center”,

in New York. 
- Grant to study with Mauro Astolfi (Spellbound contemporary ballet) in Rome. 

- Advanced training courses with the teachers Denis Ganio, Margherita Traianova,

Michele Pogliani.



Professional stage experiences:



2000 - 2002 - Dancer with “Botega dance company”, directed by Enzo Celli (Rome, Italy) 

2001 - 2002 - Dancer for the J.K.Tyl Theater in Pilsen (Czech Republic)

2002 - 2009 - Soloist, in the company “Balletto dell’Esperia”, directed by Paolo Mohovich (Turin, Italy)



2010 - present - Creation and performances of “Tangram” by Cristiana Casadio and Stefan Sing 



2012-2013 - Dancer in “LIttle big world” by Sebastiano Toma 

2013 - Dancer for Cie4 in their piece “Remain Restless”



2015 - “just now” - Choreography and dance by Cristiana Casadio , premiered in Messico City (Centro National de las Artes)



2016 - Dancer in “Picasso Parade”, directed by Nicola Fano, choreographed by Paolo Mohovich - produced by Fondazione Teatro Piemonte Europa (Palazzo Madama,Turin, Italy ) 
- Creation and performances of “No-body” , in cooperation with Julia Christ   

2017 - present - Creation and performances of “Home” (dance and choreography by Cristiana Casadio) , premiered in Turin, for Fondazione TPE , in “Palcoscenico danza” (Feb.’17)



2018 - Employment by the Berliner Ensemble as dancer in “Menschen, Orte und Dinge” by Bernadette Sonnenbilcher 
- “ Double” - choreography Cristiana Casadio 



2019 - Fiori di Garza” (choreography and dance Cristiana Casadio, regie Laura Fusco) performed in Turin, for Fondazione TPE , in “Palcoscenico danza” (March ’19)
